Pastor Tim Maybray
Senior Pastor | E-Mail
What do you do?:
I talk one day a week and listen the other six!
Family: Lisa (wife) & children: Bethany, Allison, Kayla, Emily, Rachel, Jacob and grandchildren!!
Heroes: Willie Stargell(baseball); Ronald Reagan(for principles); Billy Graham(for integrity); Pope John Paul II(for steadfastness); Mother Teresa(in whom we see Jesus); but mostly my Dad (for everything)
Favorite Movies: In no particular order, Remember the Titans; While You Were Sleeping; You've Got Mail (Chick flicks, I know!); Pirates of the Caribbean Curse of the Black Pearl, Cinderella Man; Shawshank Redemption (PG-13 version); Quiz Show; October Sky; A League of Their Own and Eight Men Out.
Secret Ambition: To be a major league baseball player.  You get to play baseball every single day.  And baseball is the only sport where practice is actually more fun than the game itself.  I mean, you get to stand in the batter's box and hit balls continuously--no base running, no strike-outs.  And when you aren't taking batting practice you get to run around in the outfield and shag fly balls.  How Great Is That!!  Either that or be a lawyer!

Worship and Ministries Coordinator | E-Mail
Family: Todd (husband), Brooke, Morgan, & Mitchell
What do you do?:  Oversee the worship department, organize church events and retreats, work alongside the Pastor in coordinating small groups, bringing the church outside it's walls and into the community, maintaining smooth running systems that carry out the systemic functions of the church. Of course every job has that "miscellaneous category" too!
Influence on your Christian Life: My mom. Her unbelievable strength and faith spoke volumes to me. She was always there when any of us needed her.  I will look forward to the day I get to say "Hi mom!  I'm home!"  She is in Heaven with Jesus now.
On Your iPod?: Erwin McManus, Andy Stanley, Craig Groeschel, Francis Chan, Rob Bell, Nelson Searcy, Dave Ramsey…and you thought I was going to say worship music, didn’t you?  Of course! Yeah...there's like 2300 of them!
Plans for  Saturday?: Hard to tell…hopefully home relaxing and being wonderfully lazy with my family!
Secret Ambition?:  To be a Private Investigator.  I love figuring out a good mystery!

Sharon Freed
Children’s Pastor | E-mail

What do you do?: I lead and coordinate the children’s ministry. This includes providing an energetic and engaging worship and learning environment for kids on Sunday mornings, offering hands-on activities for kids on Wednesday nights so they can learn how to put their faith into practice, and organizing special “big” events throughout the year where kids can grow and have fun. A significant part of my ministry involves assisting parents by providing resources and equipping them with tools to help them nurture faith at home. Mostly, I get to share Jesus’ love with the children. “Jesus said, ‘Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.’” Matthew 19:14 NLT.
Family: Dick (husband) & Adam
Favorite movies: The Sound of Music, You’ve Got Mail, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Adjustment Bureau, Les Miserables.
In my spare time: I love being with my family and friends, “tinkering” around the house, working on “projects”, and almost anything that involves being outdoors enjoying nature i.e. biking, canoeing, walking.
Plans for Saturday: Fun – just have fun!!
Secret ambition: If I told you, it wouldn’t be a secret – right?

What Do You Do?The best part is that I get to help people! It's a lot more than bulletins and newsletters.  (A fun aspect lately has been more graphic design and in-house printing.)  I am a coordinator of many things, most of which fall into two categories: knowledge and people.  However, the day's plans can be changed in an instant by whatever a phone call or visit brings.
When folks call with prayer requests, updates on themselves or loved ones, needs, or requests for help in a wide variety of ways, they call because they trust that the church cares. We are His hands and His feet; I'm honored and humbled to have very real and practical opportunities to implement that every day.

Family:  [amazing!] husband Curt; 7 children, 13 grandchildren (so far), and a large and wonderful extended family!

Favorite Scripture Passage:The ones that tell how my future has wondrously been taken care of by Jesus!  Here are a few:

Romans 7:18  “… I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out.”
Romans 5:8  “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

II Timothy 1:9  “He saved us, called us with a holy calling not according to our works, but according to His own purpose.”

In Your Spare Time?: What I like to do and what I end up doing are often two entirely different things. The 'tyranny of the urgent' usually strikes!   But if I have time I enjoy taking pictures (especially of my grandchildren), scrapbooking, rubber stamping, card making, watching a movie with my husband, or hanging out with grandkids, friends or family.

On Your iPod?: No iPod; I only just barely, sort of, have a cell phone.   But I do like music!   Wide variety: southern gospel to light jazz and a whole lot in between. Legacy Five, Third Day, Michael Franks ...  I enjoy a lot of different styles of music, but great lyrics really earn my appreciation!  Worship music too - “In Christ Alone” is a favorite; I can hardly ever sing it without tears.

Secret Ambition:  To be a morning person.  Not because I want to be, but because I think it would be easier than getting the rest of the world to adjust to my schedule!
